The Mistwalkers have lived for generations in a region where time is unreliable. That has changed them — in their language, their perception, their way of dealing with the world. They know more about the Chrona Stone than anyone else. They rarely share that knowledge.
In Book One they are a presence at the edge — they observe, they tolerate, they do not intervene. What they know and what they conceal will matter later.
