The Breaking is the central event in the history of Aeryndor. Nearly a thousand years ago, the sun shattered into seven great fragments that fell across the continent.
No one knows why it happened. Some speak of an ancient ritual, others of a mistake by the gods — still others believe the sun itself broke apart because the world could no longer bear it.
The fragments, known as Solar Stones, changed everything. They brought energy, power — and chaos. Regions were reshaped, creatures were altered, and the laws of nature lost their reliability.
To this day the Breaking shapes every decision, every realm and every story in Aeryndor. It is not the past — it is the present.
