The Light Priests
The most influential religious Order in Aeryndor. They preach that the sun sacrificed itself to illuminate the world. They are willing to kill for that version of the truth.
The Light Priests are based in the Great Cathedral of Lythar, the capital of Valeryn. They guard the Lumen Stone — the Stone of Light — and have made a religion of it. Their influence over the people of Valeryn is considerable.
What they truly are is more complicated than their sermons. The founders of the Order sabotaged the Sun Engine. Their successors know it — or suspect it — and protect that truth by any means. Arkend is the proof.
