Valeryn
A large kingdom in the west of Aeryndor. Fertile plains, ancient cities, a capital called Lythar. The most stable realm on the continent — or so it is said.
Valeryn is considered relatively stable, because the Solar Stone at work there is weaker than elsewhere. The fields bear harvests, the cities function, the people live in a normality that no longer exists in other regions of Aeryndor. That makes Valeryn the standard — and the blind spot. What looks stable is not necessarily sound.
The capital Lythar is home to the Great Cathedral of the Light Priests, the most influential religious Order on the continent. The Light Priests preach that the sun sacrificed itself to illuminate the world. They hold great influence over the people. And they are willing to burn cities to protect certain truths.
